Gold price per tola reaches Rs 290,300 in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a new all-time high on Thursday, in line with an increase in global rates.
The price of gold per tola rose by Rs1,600, reaching Rs290,300—the highest ever recorded in the country.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs1,372, bringing it to Rs248,885.
The latest surge follows Wednesday’s increase of Rs2,300 per tola, which had taken gold to Rs288,700.

Meanwhile, gold prices also climbed in the international market.
As per APGJSA, the global rate stood at $2,778 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a daily rise of $15.
Silver prices also recorded an increase, with per tola rates gaining Rs59 to reach Rs3,450.
This new high surpasses the previous record set on January 24, 2025, when gold per tola reached Rs289,600 in Pakistan.
The rising trend reflects global economic conditions and investor demand for safe-haven assets.
