Gold prices fall by Rs1,200 per tola in Pakistan amid global decline

Gold prices in Pakistan declined on Wednesday in line with a downward trend in the international market, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
In the local market, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs1,200 to settle at Rs498,962. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs1,029, reaching Rs427,779.
The decline follows a drop recorded a day earlier, when gold per tola had decreased by Rs1,000 to close at Rs500,162.
On the global front, gold prices also edged lower. The international rate declined by $12 to settle at $4,766 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the domestic market also registered a decrease, falling by Rs34 to reach Rs8,324 per tola.
The latest price movement reflects ongoing fluctuations in the global bullion market, which continue to influence domestic rates.
