Fasting is not only a religious duty but also has positive impacts on health, particularly for those suffering from diseases like high blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes.

This was proven in various research studies, which show that fasting can help control diabetes levels in the body while a healthy, balanced diet can prevent weight gain.

Recent research has found that intermittent fasting, along with healthy eating, can also prevent high cholesterol, diabetes, and other diseases.

A study published in a magazine named 'Natural Medicine' showed that intermittent fasting for three months can help the human body to control or end blood pressure problems.

The study involved 200 people who were split into three groups. Group A continued intermittent fasting for 16 to 17 hours for six months, while Group B continued their regular eating habits.

The third group was advised to take specific diet foods to lose weight in six months.

The results showed that blood sugar decreased in all three groups, but it decreased significantly in the fasting group.

Experts recommend that patients with diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure make fasting a routine to prevent these dangerous diseases
