Alizeh Shah gives ‘final warning’ to Yasir Nawaz over repeated on-air mentions, threatens defamation suit

Renowned actress of drama serial Ahd-e-wafa, Alizeh Shah, gives what she terms a "final warning" to actor and producer Yasir Nawaz regarding his usage of her name and defaming her on social media platforms, having been referred to during a game show segment on a private entertainment show.

Alizeh Shah took it to Instagram and posted a story. She wrote, "This is my final warning to Yasir Nawaz to refrain from taking my name on any platform. It has been five years since I last worked on a project with him, yet he still takes my name on almost every talk show he participates in.” 

Two weeks ago, on the program, the pair was presented with the task of selecting a celebrity to choose as a hypothetical sibling out of two options presented on the screen; the image of Alizeh was side by side with renowned journalist Waseem Badami. 

Danish Nawaz joked about teasing his brother, saying he would pick Alizeh to be his sister. Although Yasir started to dodge the question, he later played along, saying, “You can pick her to be your sister, I don’t want to.” 

Alizeh also wrote, “At times he offers an apology, and at other times he claims that the experience was not fun.”

Alizeh, in her story, gave a final warning to Yasir Nawaz, “Furthermore, if this behavior continues, I will disclose to the entire industry the real reasons why he did not like working with me. Trust me, it will not reflect well on your image.”
