Renowned Pakistani actor Faysal Quraishi opened up about his stance on the rising LGBTQ trend in the country saying, he can't set aside his Islamic beliefs.
The Shikar star recently appeared in a FHM podcast hosted by Adnan Faisal, where he was asked his thoughts on LGBTQ.
"I'm Muslim... and it's forbidden in Islam and it's very important to focus on the purpose behind the creation of men and women. If you read [Holy] Quran, there are only two genders are discussed; men and women. If you talk about intersex, they are also created by Allah, but it's a long debate," the actor said.
At this, Adnan told Faysal to give his "burger opinion", a word used for open-minded people in society, on the topic.
"Islam is a complete code of life. So I can't put it aside. It's very difficult for me to accept this [inclusion of LGBTQ in society]" the Meri Zaat Zarrae Benishan star replied.
"I can hug a man as a brother. I can kiss him," he added. "But if he crosses his limit," the host cross-questioned.
"Then I can slap him too," Quraishi responded with a big laugh on his face.
The anchor further asked Quraishi if he was ever approached by any homosexual person.
"Yes one or two times, but I just laughed at this [their proposals]," the Farq starlet said.
