Veteran actor Khaled Anam mourned the tragic death of a father and daughter in the Karsaz car accident. He expressed his deep sorrow through heartfelt poetry, criticising those he believed were defending suspect Natasha Danish.
The horrific accident on August 19 sparked outrage in the country after Natasha Danish Iqbal, daughter-in-law of the business tycoon family, Gul Ahmed, crashed her car into several vehicles on a nearby lane at Karsaz, killing a father and daughter and injuring four others.
Anam turned to microblogging platform X to share his thoughts, lamenting the suffering expereinced by the underprivileged when crimes are committed by the elite.
The renowned actor expressed his shock at the victim-blaming of the deceased individuals and defense of the suspect by many people, "who are arguing that the victims were at fault for not wearing helmets."
In his poetry, he included comments from individuals who supported the suspect and shared his work with his fans.

A new CCTV footage from the Karsaz accident on the same day revealed that Natasha Danish first hit a white car in another collision before striking multiple vehicles.
To escape the scene, the suspect woman was overspeeding on the same road and hit a father and daughter riding a motorcycle, who died in the fatal accident.
A case of the incident was registered at Bahadurabad police station on the complaint of the brother of the deceased man.
The Karsaz car accident case is currently pending in court. On Wednesday, the accused woman was sent on a judicial remand for 14 days.
Natasha Iqbal's lawyer initially claimed that she was mentally unstable and that the family was unaware of when she had taken the car from home.
However, she was declared “mentally fit” by the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) Department of Psychiatry.
