Spotify has named Meesha Shafi as the EQUAL Pakistan Ambassador for April 2025. The music streaming platform announced that the singer was featured on a digital billboard in New York City's Times Square as part of the initiative.

This recognition places Shafi among a growing list of Pakistani artists who have been spotlighted at the iconic location through Spotify's global EQUAL campaign, which aims to amplify the work of women in music.

Shafi, known for her standout tracks such as Alif Allah, Muaziz Sarif, and Aya Laariye, enjoys a diverse listenership, with 38% of her audience consisting of Generation Z listeners, according to Spotify.

The announcement coincides with the release of her latest album, Khilnay Ko, marking her return to the music industry after a hiatus of over two years.
