TikToker Kashif Zameer booked for mocking Punjab police uniform

LAHORE: Social media personality Kashif Zameer has landed in legal trouble after a video mocking the police uniform went viral, prompting law enforcement to register two separate FIRs—one against him and the police officer who appeared alongside him.

According to sources, Kashif Zameer shared videos and photos on social media wearing a police uniform in a manner deemed disrespectful.

In one clip, he was seen presenting a tray full of currency notes to the officer during an event—an act police say ridiculed law enforcement and challenged the dignity of the uniform.

The FIRs, registered under the PECA Act and other serious penal codes, state that such behavior damages the credibility of law enforcement institutions and undermines public trust—an offense that is both unacceptable and punishable by law.

Police authorities confirmed that the viral content mocked not just the police force but also attempted to question the supremacy of the law.

Following the incident, the involved officer has been taken into custody, while raids are being conducted to arrest Kashif Zameer.

Investigators also noted that Zameer allegedly tried to mislead authorities by using artificial intelligence tools to edit a follow-up video—altering the color of the uniform to avoid legal repercussions.

Officials have assured that a comprehensive investigation is underway and that strict action will be taken against all those involved in defaming the police force.

This incident once again brings to light the growing concerns over the misuse of social media platforms for viral stunts and the need to uphold institutional respect and lawful conduct online.
