Indian Punjabi singer Karan Aujla couldn’t resist commenting on Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s rendition of his iconic song “Tauba Tauba” from the Bollywood movie Bad Newz.

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, known for his comedic reinterpretations of popular songs, recently shared his version of the Bollywood hit.

The social media sensation posted his music video on Instagram, featuring him holding a guitar in front of the Taj Mahal.

While Chahat’s rendition of “Tauba Tauba” amused many of his fans, who took it more as comic relief than serious music, Karan Aujla had a less enthusiastic response.

The popular Punjabi singer, noticing Chahat’s attempt at his song, commented, “Uncle na karo please [Uncle, please don’t].”

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, who often trends on social media for mimicking the style of legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, has drawn criticism from professional musicians for his approach to music.

Veteran actress Bushra Ansari criticised online users for promoting Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, labelling his content “disrespectful” to the art of music.

"I do not tolerate the exploitation of popular songs and music of the past in this way," she stated.

In July, Chahat faced a legal notice and was ordered to pay Rs180 million in damages for tarnishing Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s reputation by falsely associating himself with the legendary musician.
