Pakistani actor, director, and producer Yasir Nawaz has sparked a debate by demanding that the government pass a law requiring wives to arrange their husband's second marriage.

He expressed his desire during a podcast episode with his wife Nida Yasir, brother Danish Nawaz, and actor Mani.

During the show, Mani talked about his acting career and shared interesting anecdotes while they also talked about social issues in a light-hearted way.

It was also discussed, during the program, why married couples sleep in separate rooms.

"It's essential for husbands and wives to live together and sleep together to strengthen their relationship."

He argued that sleeping separately can weaken the bond between couples.

However, Mani admitted that he sometimes sleeps in a separate room as his "children are now grown up and they sleep with their mother".

When asked about second marriages, Mani refused to tie the knot for a second time due to the current economic turmoil in the country.

"No one can think of a second marriage in this era of inflation," he added.

However, Yasir Nawaz suggested the government to introduce a law requiring wives to plan a second marriage of their husbands every 15 years.

"The law should also state that a wife who does not comply will be put behind bars," he joked.

Nida, who was standing alongside Yasir, gave a befitting reply to her husband's desire.

"All talk and no action. Let him fulfill his happiness, let them just talk," she responded.

At this, Yasir Nawaz clarified that he's "not talking about remarrying but advising the government".
