Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur’s caravan, along with heavy machinery, removed containers blocking their route as PTI workers marched towards Islamabad to stage a sit-in for the release of former prime minister Imran Khan.
Imran Khan’s spouse Bushra Bibi departed from Peshawar with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur’s caravan to participate in a protest in Islamabad.
However, PTI clarified that while Bushra Bibi is also heading towards Islamabad, the caravan is being led by CM KP Ali Amin Gandapur.
Earlier, while speaking to a local news channel, Gandapur stated that negotiations with the government would only begin after the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.
“My loyalty lies with Imran Khan,” he said. “I will do whatever he instructs.” He further emphasised that PTI workers would reach D-Chowk in Islamabad, no matter what.
He added that the PTI workers would remain in Islamabad until Imran Khan and other prisoners are released, and their demands are met.
