Shahbaz Leghari, head of the Earthquake Quick News & Research Center (EQQN), has predicted a 5.4 magnitude earthquake likely to impact Pakistan and Afghanistan in the coming week.
According to Leghari, tremors are expected to be felt in both the northern and southern regions of the two neighboring countries.
In addition to South Asia, Leghari also forecast seismic activity in Turkey, Greece, and Myanmar.
Highlighting a recent successful prediction made in April, Leghari stated that EQQN’s forecasting system can detect potential earthquakes up to 128 hours in advance.
He urged the need for preparedness and awareness, especially in vulnerable zones.
Although earthquake prediction remains a subject of scientific debate, EQQN’s claims continue to draw attention, particularly in regions prone to seismic disturbances.
