Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Mohammad Yousuf on Friday announced improved facilities for Pakistani Hajj pilgrims, including folding mattresses and air-conditioned camps in Mina, Saudi Arabia.

The announcement was made during the minister’s visit to the Hajji Camp in Karachi, where he reviewed preparations for the upcoming Hajj season and oversaw a final training session for pilgrims.

The minister commended the training efforts that aim to educate pilgrims on the procedures and obligations of Hajj.

He highlighted that several new improvements had been introduced by both the Saudi and Pakistani governments to streamline the pilgrimage process and ensure the comfort of pilgrims.

To enhance convenience, the government has arranged accommodation for all Pakistani pilgrims in the Markaziya area, offering better accessibility to essential services.

The training session provided detailed guidance on the essential components of Hajj, including its three pillars and six compulsory acts.

Additionally, pilgrims will receive Pakistan-labelled scarves, trolleys, and mini bags for easier identification.

Each pilgrim will also be provided with a mobile SIM to make WhatsApp calls from Saudi Arabia—an option unavailable through local Saudi SIMs—to help them stay in contact with family back home.

The minister urged pilgrims to maintain discipline, follow official guidelines, and represent Pakistan positively during the holy journey.
