45% Pakistanis are in favour of 'death penalty law': survey

A recent survey has shed light on the prevailing sentiments of the Pakistani people towards the death penalty law.
The survey was conducted by Gallup Pakistan, which revealed that 45 percent of respondents expressed full support for the death penalty, citing its necessity in dealing with 'serious crimes'.
Almost 39 percent of those surveyed voiced opposition to the death penalty. They said that taking someone's life, regardless of the circumstances, is 'morally unacceptable'.
Moreover, 11 percent maintained a neutral stance on the matter, neither advocating for nor against its implementation.
5 percent of respondents refrained from providing a response.
