Blood found on Humaira Asghar's T-shirt, trouser: medical report

The final medico-legal report of model and actress Humaira Asghar, who was found dead in a Defence Phase 6 apartment in Karachi, has raised further doubts surrounding the circumstances of her death.

According to the report, traces of blood were found on Asghar’s clothes, including her T-shirt and trousers. The report also noted the presence of DNA samples on the clothing. However, investigators stated that the remains recovered were incomplete, consisting mostly of skeletal bones, which made it impossible to determine the exact cause of death.

Police officials confirmed that significant evidence, including utility bills and rent receipts, was recovered from the apartment. They also disclosed that one of Asghar’s mobile phones remains missing, which they believe could have provided critical information for the investigation.

Her decomposed body was discovered on July 8 after a court bailiff broke into the flat while executing an order related to unpaid rent. Initial post-mortem findings suggested that the actress had been dead for nearly eight to ten months before the body was found.

Asghar, originally from Lahore, had been residing in Karachi since 2018. She had reportedly stopped paying rent in 2024, prompting her landlord to file a case. Police said they have also obtained data from her other mobile phones and laptop to aid the ongoing investigation.
