Islamabad airport rated 3-star in global Skytrax rankings

Global aviation consultancy Skytrax has released its annual ranking report of airports worldwide.
The report evaluates international airports based on the quality of passenger services and facilities, assigning star categories accordingly.
According to the report, Islamabad International Airport has been classified as a 3-star airport in the global rankings.
Among other major airports in Pakistan, Lahore and Karachi airports received 2-star ratings. Skytrax assessed airports based on passenger amenities, immigration arrangements, and terminal services.
Other 3-star airports globally include Dubai, Manchester, New York JFK, and Washington airports, along with Moscow, Mexico City, and Kuwait International Airport, which are recognized for providing quality passenger services.
Indian airports in Delhi, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad were also awarded the 3-star category.
Overall, the global ranking awarded 5-star ratings to 12 airports and 4-star ratings to 81 airports, highlighting their high standard of facilities.
