Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has warned that his government will not support the implementation of International Monetary Fund (IMF) conditions if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders are not allowed to meet party founder Imran Khan.
Speaking to the media after a two-and-a-half-hour meeting with Khan at Adiala Jail, Gandapur stressed the need for upholding the Constitution and restoring PTI’s “stolen mandate,” saying this was essential for the country, not just the party.
He demanded that five to six PTI leaders be permitted to meet Khan ahead of the federal budget, warning of a strong protest movement otherwise.

Gandapur said Khan is willing to engage in dialogue for Pakistan’s betterment and called for real democracy in the country.
He also demanded the release of Khan and resolution of court cases pending against PTI leaders. He alleged that Khan is being held under false charges and that the system cannot function through coercion.
