Newborn baby girl found abandoned near graveyard in Murree

A newborn baby girl was found abandoned near a graveyard in Murree and was later taken to hospital by rescue officials.

According to reports, the infant was found in the Bhurban Kahia area on the outskirts of the hill station early Tuesday morning by a passer-by, who alerted Rescue 1122.

A rescue team arrived at the scene, took the baby into their care and carried out an initial medical check-up before providing first aid.

The child was then shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Murree for further treatment. Doctors later confirmed that her condition was stable.

After completing medical procedures, hospital authorities handed the baby over to the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau in Rawalpindi for further care under government supervision.
