Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has offered India Pakistan’s cooperation in an impartial investigation into the recent Pahalgam attack, rejecting baseless accusations linking Pakistan to the incident.
Speaking at the passing-out parade ceremony at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the professionalism and commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces, emphasizing their role in upholding national unity and global peace efforts under the UN Charter.
Addressing the Pahalgam attack and the Kashmir dispute, Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that Kashmir is Pakistan’s "jugular vein" and a recognised disputed territory under international law. He stressed that the Kashmiri people must be granted their right to self-determination.

Condemning terrorism, Shehbaz said Pakistan has endured immense sacrifices in the fight against terror and has consistently opposed terrorism in all forms.
He criticised India for leveling accusations without credible investigation or evidence, calling the Pahalgam allegations part of a broader pattern of blame without verification.
Regarding India's suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, the Prime Minister warned that water is Pakistan’s lifeline and any hostile action would be met with a strong national response, similar to February 2019.
He also highlighted Pakistan’s economic stabilization efforts and reiterated the desire for peaceful relations with Afghanistan, urging Kabul to prevent its territory from being used by extremist elements.
