A Quran khuwani and special prayer ceremony was held at Karachi Central Jail for the swift recovery of President Asif Ali Zardari.

The event was organised by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Prisons Hassan Sehto at the jail’s Madina Mosque.

The ceremony saw the participation of DIG Prisons Karachi Hassan Sehto, SSP Abdul Kareem Abbasi, and other senior officials.

DIG Hassan Sehto stated that the gathering was specifically held to pray for the health and well-being of the President, with Quran khuwani and special prayers offered.

It is worth mentioning that President Zardari has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karachi for several days.

His personal physician, Dr. Asim, has confirmed that the President's condition is improving, and he is expected to be discharged in a day or two.

Dr. Asim also dismissed speculation about the President's health, clarifying that he is suffering from a variant of the coronavirus that is not severe or life-threatening.

He added that misleading and baseless reports circulating on Indian media and social media platforms have no connection with reality.
