Flood-hit minor boy raped, murdered in Karachi

A flood-affected minor boy was kidnapped, raped and killed within the limits of Steel Town police station in Karachi, it emerged on Friday.
According to police, the body of the 8-year-old boy was recovered from the bushes near the tent city set up for the flood victims on Link Road.
Station House Officer (SHO) Steel Town police station, Ghulam Hussain Pirzada, said that the victim boy was killed by hitting a hard rod on his head.
The senior police official further informed that the boy left his house in tent city on June 11 as he was earning a livelihood for his family by selling chips.
He did not return home and later his body was found near the bushes, he added.
As per the doctors, the minor boy was sexually assaulted before being murdered.
However, a case has been registered against the unknown suspect and the police are conducting raids to arrest the culprit.
