German tourist tortured, robbed by dacoits in Lahore

A German tourist, Berg Florian, who travelled to Pakistan on a bicycle, was tortured and robbed by bandits in Lahore, police confirmed on Saturday.
According to police, the incident took place when the 27-year-old traveler was sleeping inside his camp on airport road in the provincial capital.
Police said two armed robbers looted a mobile phone, a camera worth Rs500,000, and cash from Florian.
The tourist reported to police that the armed men also tortured him before fleeing the crime scene.
In a video that went viral on social media, torture marks were also seen on the neck and hands of the robbery victim.

Following the incident, Florian reached the Rangers Hospital on his bicycle, where he was given medical treatment.
The victim, along with eyewitnesses, lodged a First Information Report (FIR) at the North Chowni police station.
However, SP Cantt initiated an investigation into the matter at the request of the foreign tourist.
DIG Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran has also taken notice of the incident, ordering the immediate arrest of the accused and seeking a report from SP Cantt.
