Katcha dacoits demand Rs3 mln to handover body of abductee

In a shocking incident, Katcha dacoits demanded Rs3 mln ransom to hand over the body of the abductee in Ghotki.

As per details, Behram Saand was abducted by the dacoits reportedly associated with the Sundrani tribe in Ghotki, local media reported. 

In a viral video, Behram is seen asking the dacoits to give him water and then kill him, if they want. 

Meanwhile, the daughter of the deceased offered her gold ornaments to the dacoits for the body of her father.

The police and local influential people swung into action after the dacoits demanded ransom. 

The body was handed over to the heirs, however, it was not confirmed whether the ransom was paid or not.

Last month, a dacoit attack on a police post in Ghotki resulted in the tragic loss of one officer's life and the abduction of two others.

The incident unfolded in Ghotki, where a gang of dacoits launched a brazen assault on the police checkpoint, claiming the life of one brave policeman and forcibly taking two others into captivity.
