The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and the Tehreek-i-Tahaffuz-i-Aaeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) criticized the move to ban the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), requesting that such issues be resolved through dialogues and legal means, rather than using compulsion.

This development came just one day after the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government announced that JAAC will be banned due to its alleged association with terrorism, promoting hate and spreading anarchy within AJK.

In a statement issued by PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram on his X account, PTI condemned AJK government's decision and highlighted the incidents of violence in Rawalakot, resulting in the death of one person, along with injuries of some others.

"The grievances, social and political, must be dealt with using constitutional process and dialogue – not by banning organizations or forcing them," the party stated.
