KARACHI: Under the Safe City initiative, Sindh Police has blacklisted 40,000 vehicles in Karachi as part of a crackdown on incomplete and irregular vehicle records.

According to police officials, enforcement action against these vehicles will begin from July 1.

The blacklisted vehicles reportedly include those that have been sold but not officially transferred to new owners.

Authorities said vehicles with incomplete ownership records or unpaid government dues have also been included in the list.

Sindh Police stated that the list of blacklisted vehicles has been finalised, adding that such vehicles may be impounded and their owners could face fines.

Citizens have been advised to check their vehicle details through the police portal and ensure ownership transfer is completed before July 1 if their vehicles are found on the blacklist.
