COAS Gen Asim invites Pakistani cricketers to Iftar dinner

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir will host Pakistani cricketers, who are undergoing strict fitness training at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT) in Kakul, for an iftar dinner.

According to the sources, the Iftar party will be held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on April 7.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCH) with the collaboration of Pakistan Army organsied a 10-day fitness camp in Kakul.

"The camp, organised in collaboration with the Pakistan Army, is strategically designed to prepare the players for the upcoming series and tournaments, including the home T20I series against New Zealand, the away T20I series against Ireland and England, and the forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup in USA and West Indies," the PCB said in a statement.

The military-led camp will be concluded on April 7 and the players will leave for Rawalpindi from Abbotabad for the elite party, sources said. 

After attending the top armyman's party, the Green Shirts' players will return to their homes, sources added.

The camp is aimed to enhance the physical and mental strength of the players, ensuring they are in the best condition to face the challenges ahead.
