A monumental 25-foot, two-ton iron statue of a ‘running man’ will be installed at the entrance of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore ahead of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.
The sculpture, designed to represent the dynamic motion of a cricketer in full sprint, is part of the ongoing renovation of the stadium, commissioned by the Government of Punjab.
Located near the Nishtar Park Sports Complex, the statue was completed in just 18 days and is expected to become a major attraction during the tournament.
To enhance the fan experience, the statue will be illuminated with colorful lights, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the eight-team event, which runs from February 19 to March 9, 2025, in Pakistan.
In addition to the statue installation, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized the schedule for promotional events related to the Champions Trophy.
