A deadly bus fire near Mufrihat in Madinah claimed the lives of 42 Umrah pilgrims from India, leaving only one survivor, 24-year-old Muhammad Abdul Shoaib, who escaped moments before the vehicle was engulfed in flames.
In the Madinah bus tragedy, at least 42 pilgrims lost their lives after the vehicle caught fire near Mufrihat. Most of the victims were from Hyderabad, India, with only one person surviving the devastating incident.
Muhammad Abdul Shoaib, a 24-year-old who had travelled for Umrah with his parents, grandfather, and uncle, survived by leaping out of a window.
According to Indian media, he was seated next to the driver and immediately jumped when he realized the bus was in flames. Some reports suggest he smashed the window before escaping, while others on board never got the chance.
Shoaib sustained serious injuries and is currently in the ICU. Tragically, he lost his entire family in the accident.
