More than 50 foreign delegations have so far visited Iran to pay tribute to the country’s martyred Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, according to Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, as reported by Al Jazeera.

Among the prominent figures attending the funeral ceremony were the president of Tajikistan, the president of Iraq, and the speaker of the Iraqi parliament.

Delegations from Turkmenistan and Georgia were also present, along with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whose participation marked Pakistan’s highest-level representation at the ceremonies.

Other notable attendees included Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev, and the vice president of Turkey.

According to the report, most of the countries represented at the funeral were either allies of Iran or states that have maintained a neutral position.

Iranian officials also said no invitations were sent to European countries or to states that had directly or indirectly backed the Israeli and US military campaign against Iran.
