The Israeli army bombed the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital, Gaza’s only specialised cancer treatment facility. The attack comes amid an already dire healthcare crisis, as Gaza’s medical infrastructure remains critically overwhelmed under relentless Israeli military assaults.
The Israeli army claimed that Hamas had turned the hospital, located in the Netzarim Corridor near Salahuddin Street, into a command center and "terror hub." However, they provided no substantial evidence to support these allegations.
Originally built in 2017 with a $34 million donation from Turkey, the hospital used to treat 10,000 cancer patients annually.

The attack occurred as Israel announced the expansion of the Netzarim Corridor and imposed restrictions on movement along Salahuddin Street. With this route effectively blocked, civilians attempting to travel between northern and southern Gaza are now forced to rely on Al-Rashid Street, which is becoming increasingly dangerous due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes.
Meanwhile, an Israeli airstrike also hit the Islamic University's Medical Faculty building in Gaza City.

According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli army has intensified its ground offensive in Rafah, while troops continue advancing into Beit Lahia and areas further north.
Over 590 Palestinians have been killed since Israel violated the Gaza ceasefire on Tuesday, with casualties rising amid escalating airstrikes and ground assaults.
The Gaza Ministry of Health stated that at least 49,617 Palestinians have been killed and 112,950 injured in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.
