Israel has launched a military attack on Iran, with explosions reported in Tehran.

According to Israeli officials, the Israeli defense minister confirmed the strike against Iranian targets, describing it as a necessary action to neutralize perceived threats to Israel’s security.

In response, Israel declared a nationwide state of emergency and sounded air raid sirens across the country to prepare civilians for the possibility of Iranian missile or drone retaliation.

Residents in Tehran reported hearing loud explosions and seeing clouds of smoke, though Iranian state media has not yet provided details on the cause or extent of damage.

Sirens have also been heard in major Israeli cities, with authorities urging people to stay within protected areas and avoid non-essential travel. Schools were closed and public gatherings restricted as part of precautionary measures.

Moreover, international concern is rising as this development threatens to widen conflict in the Middle East. Reports indicate that countries such as China and Britain have issued travel advisories and are moving diplomatic staff out of Iran amid fears of broader military escalation.

At this stage, information on casualties, specific targets hit, or Iran’s response remains unclear. The situation continues to develop rapidly, and global leaders are closely monitoring for signs of further retaliation or escalation.
