Palestinian resistance group Hamas confirmed on Thursday that its spokesperson, Abdel-Latif Al-Qanoua, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on his tent in northern Gaza.
According to Hamas-run Al-Aqsa TV, Al-Qanoua was killed in Jabalia, with several others injured in the attack.
Al-Qanoua became the latest target of Israeli airstrikes following the deaths of Hamas political bureau member Ismail Barhoum and senior leader Salah al-Bardaweel.
Israel’s bombardment of Nasser Hospital in Gaza killed Barhoum and a 16-year-old boy, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported. The attack, which took place on Sunday night, destroyed a large section of the enclave’s biggest medical facility and forced the evacuation of an entire department.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces assassinated Bardaweel and his wife in a drone strike on a tent shelter in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
Israel has continued its relentless assault on Gaza, which had persisted until December, when a fragile ceasefire took effect in January. However, the truce was severely violated by Israel on March 18.
Currently, Israel has displaced thousands of Palestinians, forcing them to leave refugee camps on foot. Many struggle to carry their belongings, while children and the elderly endure the physical toll of walking long distances.
The Gaza Ministry of Health stated that at least 50,183 Palestinians have been killed and 113,828 injured in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.
