President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Punjab CM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has reportedly said that he won't be leading the party's November 24 protest due to health issues.
"My doctors have advised me to take three weeks of bed rest," Elahi 'said' while talking to the Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly.
Elahi expressed his regret to Ahmed Khan Bhachar, during a phone call to discuss strategy for the protests.
He directed Gujrat leaders to send a large caravan to Islamabad instead. Bhachar wished Elahi a speedy recovery, saying it was their wish to see him lead the caravans.
The November 24 protests were called by incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan, and the party is moving forward with preparations despite Elahi's absence.
The two leaders discussed arrangements and strategies for the protests, ensuring the party's presence remains strong.
The PTI has been facing pressure, with some sources suggesting fake cases are being filed against Elahi to force him to leave the party. Despite these challenges, the party is pushing forward with its plans.
