Aerial firing at wedding claims lives of two minors in Karachi's Surjani Town

Aerial firing at a wedding ceremony in Karachi's Surjani town resulted in the deaths of at least two children and injured a man, who is receiving treatment in the hospital. However, police claimed to have arrested three suspects in connection with the incident.
The incident occurred on Friday when "some person(s) opened fire during a wedding ceremony in Taiser Town, Sector-35-C," resulting in the killing of one child on the spot and injuring two others, according to Karachi District West Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Tariq Illahi Mastoi.
The deceased and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
The deceased were identified as Banjo, 6, and Allan Shahzad, 6. Robin Baber, 30, was injured.

In a recent development, another child, Allan, succumbed to his injuries, while Robin continued to receive treatment.
Police stated that guests of the wedding procession were engaging in aerial firing, and some of these bullets struck the victims. Following the incident, police rushed to the scene.
They recovered a 9mm pistol used in the firing and arrested three guests who were participating in the wedding ceremony.

Surjani Town Police Station House Officer (SHO) Ghulam Husain Pirzada stated that the wedding ceremony took place in a Christian neighborhood, and the suspect was a relative of the victims.
Previously, aerial firing in Karachi's Lines Area claimed the life of a woman when a stray bullet struck her in the head. She was in her flat.
