The Board of Secondary Education Karachi has announced that the ninth and tenth-grade examinations will commence on April 8, with a total of 375,000 students expected to sit for the exams.
According to board officials, 499 examination centers have been established across the city, with the list of centers now available on the board's official website.
Karachi Matric Board Examination Controller, Zaheeruddin Bhutto, confirmed that computerised online admit cards have been issued to all students.
In line with the board's guidelines, a strict ban will be enforced on the use of mobile phones and other electronic devices inside the examination centers.

Of the 499 centers, 256 have been set up for boys and 243 for girls, including both government and private schools.
To ensure smooth operations, Bhutto added that the board has issued directives to the Commissioner of Karachi, DG Rangers, Additional IG, Director of Education Karachi, Director of Private Schools Sindh, and other relevant authorities to impose Section 144 around examination centers.
This will prevent any external interference, and photocopying machines operating near the centers will be shut down during exam hours.

For the secure delivery of examination papers, Bhutto explained that the papers will be transported by board officials to hub centers. From there, the center superintendent or their representative will collect the sealed papers with an authority letter and deliver them to their respective examination centers.
Answer sheets will be collected promptly and sent back to the board.
Additionally, a Vigilance Officer will be assigned to each examination center, arriving half an hour before the start of exams.
The officer will remain on-site throughout the examination period, monitoring to prevent cheating.
The officer will compile daily reports and submit them to the board's reporting cell, ensuring that all examination materials are properly sealed and accounted for.
