The Sindh government has revealed plans to create a modern media university in Karachi, aimed at promoting the region’s cultural and historical legacy globally.
According to Mustafa Abdullah Baloch, spokesperson for the Sindh government, the initiative follows the directives of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The university will be built under a public-private partnership model and is set to meet international standards in media education and innovation.
In a related development, Sindh’s Chief Minister has tasked the Education Department with formulating the province’s first-ever Transgender Education Policy.
The provincial government had previously introduced a job quota for transgender individuals under the Sindh Civil Servants Amendment Act, ensuring job access both on merit and through a reserved quota.
Furthermore, a new coordination mechanism is being established to assist students from Sindh in studying medical and nursing programs in Kyrgyzstan, as discussed in recent talks between Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah and Kyrgyzstan’s Minister for Education & Science Dogdorkul Kendirbaeva.
