In another accident caused by heavy traffic, a motorcyclist was run over by a large vehicle at Karachi's Azam Square on Friday.

Amid the lack of proper measures to address the issue, heavy traffic has claimed the lives of at least 65 people in the port city.

The incident occurred in Karachi’s Sharifabad, where a truck lost control while descending from a bridge, crushing the motorcycle rider.

The accident caused a traffic disturbance at the scene, while the victim was rushed to the hospital.

A viral video on social media showed the chaotic situation following the accident.

No traffic police personnel were seen managing the situation, which occurred during the last ten days of Ramadan, a period when late-night traffic increases due to Eid shopping.
