Robbers rape woman in front of husband, daughter in Hafizabad

In a horrific incident in Hafizabad district, Punjab, Pakistan, a woman was gang-raped by robbers in front of her husband and daughter. 

The family was traveling to Chiniot by motorcycle when they were stopped by three robbers near Sukheke.

The robbers forcibly took the woman to nearby fields at gunpoint and raped her while her family members were forced to watch.

Upon being informed of the crime, the police officials initially engaged in a jurisdiction dispute rather than taking immediate action to arrest the perpetrators.

However, DPO Faisalabad Faisal Gulzar later intervened, taking notice of the incident and suspending the SHO of Sukheke police station, Luqman Chatha.

A case has been registered against the robbers at Sukheke police station based on the complaint filed by the victim's husband. The incident has drawn significant attention and outrage, highlighting ongoing issues with law enforcement and the protection of women in the region.
