Shikarpur bandits shoot hostage in leg over failure to pay ransom

In a grim turn of events in the Shikarpur Katcha area, the bandits resorted to extreme measures after their Rs2 million ransom demand went unmet, resulting in the shooting of the hostage, Manzoor Lashari.

The distressing ordeal was documented in a video shared on social media platforms.

The footage captured the heart-wrenching pleas of Manzoor Lashari, a Shikarpur resident, as he begged for mercy before the bandits callously shot him in the leg. This tragic incident unfolded 23 days after Manzoor was forcibly taken from his hometown.

Prior to this ruthless act, the bandits had subjected the hostage to torture, recording the appalling ordeal and brazenly disseminating it on social media, amplifying the horror of the situation.

Amidst this turmoil, there is a glimmer of hope as authorities confirm the successful recovery of all five abducted police personnel, including the Station Head Officer (SHO), from the clutches of the bandits in the Shikarpur Katcha area.

DIG Larkana Javed Jiskani provided assurance of their safe return, offering a semblance of relief amidst the darkness of the situation.
