The purported kidnapping of journalist Fayyaz Solangi, which had sparked concern in Khairpur ten days ago, has been exposed as a hoax.
Police in Khairpur have successfully recovered Solangi and arrested his uncle, who is accused of being involved in orchestrating the false kidnapping.
According to SSP Kashmore, Zubair Nazir Sheikh, Solangi had staged the kidnapping with the assistance of his uncle.
The motive behind the hoax was linked to a land dispute involving Solangi and his cousins. The journalist had filed a false case against his relatives, leading to the fabricated kidnapping claim.
Following the investigation, Solangi and his uncle were apprehended by the police in Kashmore.
The revelation of this hoax has raised questions regarding the motives behind the misleading report, which had previously garnered widespread media attention.
