A 71-year-old woman, who was exhausted from an 11-year-long trial, expressed her frustration in court, stating she could no longer fight the case.

The trial began after police recovered 950 grams of drugs from a house in Gwalior in India's Madya Pradesh on August 5, 2013. The police had produced the challan on September 11, 2013.

However, it was later discovered that the actual weight of the recovered drugs, including the bag, was 1 kilogram, which prompted the court to transfer the case to a special court.

The woman accepted all allegations made by the police, and in a swift decision, the court sentenced her to one day's imprisonment and a fine of Rs10.

The case's lengthy trial was a result of the discrepancy in the weight of the seized drugs.

The woman said that the re-transfer of the case to the trial court, due to the corrected weight, would further delay the case.
