The ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of approximately 12,000 Palestinian students since October 7, 2023.

According to a report by Al Jazeera, citing Gaza's Ministry of Education, the conflict has claimed the lives of 11,852 students and left over 18,000 injured.

The conflict has also had a crippling impact on Gaza's education sector. Israeli forces have bombed and destroyed 362 educational institutions, including universities and schools.

Additionally, 65 schools operated under the United Nations have been destroyed.

The violence has also claimed the lives of 560 teachers and staff members, with an additional 3,700 injured.

The conflict has denied education to over 718,000 students in Gaza, with many suffering from mental trauma.

Gaza's Ministry of Education has condemned the attacks, emphasizing the need for international intervention to protect Palestinian students and educational institutions.

The international community has called for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of civilians in Gaza.

Meanwhile, in a 24-day siege that created apocalyptic conditions in north Gaza, the Israeli army killed over 1,000 civilians through relentless bombings targeting hospitals, school shelters, and residential areas.

Over the past week, Israeli forces encircled Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Jabalia refugee camp, storming the facility on Friday while 600 Palestinians, including patients and healthcare workers, were trapped inside.

On Monday, the Israeli army announced its withdrawal from the hospital but detained 100 Palestinians, leaving only one pediatrician to manage the facility.
