The Jerusalem Post in its report has said that the Palestinian group Hamas remains resolute despite the assassination of its chief Yahya Sinwar.

According to the report, Palestinian militants say they have "nothing to lose" after Sinwar's and Ismail Haniyeh's deaths.

In Doha, Qatar, negotiations for the release of Israeli captives held by Hamas are underway. Sources reveal that Sinwar's death has instilled a sense of determination among Hamas leaders, impacting the talks.

Hamas insists on its conditions, including a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, before releasing prisoners. The group's military council will consult on any agreements reached in Doha.

The complex communication between Doha and Gaza may prolong the negotiation process.

Sinwar was killed during an encounter with Israeli troops in Rafah, southern Gaza, after apparently fleeing from Khan Younis.

The soldiers reportedly found other valuable intelligence on him, including NIS 40,000 ($10,760) in cash and a fake ID.

Sinwar had previously served 23 years in an Israeli prison.

He was released in October 2011 as part of a deal where Israel freed over 1,000 prisoners in exchange for captured soldier Gilad Shalit, who had been kidnapped by Hamas in 2006.
