Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi to deliver Hajj Sermon this year

The Imam and Khateeb of Masjid an-Nabawi, Sheikh Dr Ali Al-Hudhaifi, will deliver this year’s Hajj sermon, according to an announcement by Saudi authorities.

Arab media reported that the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques confirmed Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi will deliver the Khutbah-e-Hajj at Masjid Namirah in Arafat on Tuesday, 26 May, corresponding to 9 Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH.

Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaifi is regarded as one of the most distinguished reciters of the Holy Qur’an, not only in Saudi Arabia but across the Muslim world.

He has previously served as Imam and Khateeb at Masjid Quba as well as Masjid al-Haram.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has officially entered the month of Dhul Hijjah from today.

The central Hajj ritual of Wuquf-e-Arafah will be observed on 26 May, while Eid al-Adha is expected to fall on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.
