Punjab extends deadline for CM laptop programme applications

The Punjab government has extended the deadline for applications under the Chief Minister Punjab Laptop Program.

According to an official announcement, students can now apply for the scheme until February 28, 2026, through the programme’s designated online portal.

The laptop scheme, which was recently expanded to include students from private universities, is open to eligible candidates based on academic performance.

Under the criteria issued last month, students enrolled in private universities who have secured at least 65 percent marks are eligible to apply for a free laptop.

Provincial authorities said the initiative is intended to enhance access to digital resources for higher education students across Punjab.

Officials have urged students to complete their registration before the revised deadline to ensure their applications are processed on time.

The extension provides additional time for applicants who were unable to submit their forms earlier.
